Brian manages the Equity Accounting Team at Texas Instruments (TI), which handles the worldwide accounting and finance associated with TI’s stock based compensation, earnings per share, share count, stockholders’ equity, and dividend processes. His team is also responsible for the cash flow statement and is actively involved in SEC filings, the proxy statement, and public reporting. Over the past several years, Brian has transitioned TI’s manual spreadsheet approach of calculating stock based compensation and EPS dilution to a systematic web-based method that is precise and scalable. Recently he on-boarded a newly developed multi-period EPS denominator forecasting solution for existing awards, which has functionality to comprehend inputs and outputs from prior quarters to each follow-on quarter. Brian has more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience in public and industry. Prior to joining TI in 2006, he worked for Daisy Brand, Ernst & Young, and KPMG. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
