Marc Muntermann joined Siemens Gas and Power - a Siemens group company - in March 2020. He holds a graduate degree in vocational studies and economic education from the University of Cologne – where he specialized in the fields of Vocational Education and Corporate Development and Organization – and an US Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with focus on accounting.
Within the new founded company, which is planned to be going public in the autumn of 2020, Marc is responsible for leading the Executive HR Organization and the global Compensation & Benefits team. In his role as Head of Executive HR, he is the direct contact for members of the Managing Board and Top Management in all HR related matters. This also includes the design of the board & executive remuneration and all group wide equity plans. As global Compensation & Benefits lead, he is responsible for the total rewards landscape in all countries and divisions.
Before joining Siemens Gas and Power, Marc had various roles within Siemens. In his last responsibility, he was leading the Top Executives Compensation and Equity department. There he was in charge of the design and governance of the Managing Board & Top Management remuneration system and the group-wide equity plans implemented in 67 countries with more than 300,000 participants.
As a former practice leader in Towers Watson’s Talent & Rewards line of business, he has an expertise in Global Data Services and conducted consulting activities with regards to non-executives, executives, executive board, and supervisory board remuneration.
