Jennifer George is a Partner in PwC’s Global Human Resource Services group. Before joining PwC, she was a partner in the San Francisco office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and a member of the compensation & benefits group. For more than 15 years, Jennifer has focused her practice on assisting US multinational companies with legal and tax issues related to the offering of equity incentives and other benefits to employees and consultants outside the United States. Before joining Orrick, Jennifer worked as a partner in the global equity services group at Baker & McKenzie, LLP for almost ten years.
Jennifer works mostly with US multinational companies, but her experience ranges from assisting small, private companies to Fortune 500 companies. Her work on the implementation of employee incentive plans involves tax, -- both employee and company perspectives -- securities laws, exchange control regulations, labor laws, and other related issues. Jennifer assists companies with complying with current, foreign rules and regulations, strategizing for upcoming changes, and reacting quickly to these changes. And she has extensive experience with the US and foreign tax and legal issues for equity awards in M&A transactions and other corporate transactions, including 280G calculations.
