Geoff Hammel is a Managing Director of Independent Stock Plan Advisors LLC, where he leads the firm’s Global Compensation and Compliance Advisory Practice. In that role, he helps companies with the design, administration and maintenance of their global executive compensation programs.
With more than 15 years of experience in key strategic roles within the corporate issuer, vendor and Big 4 consulting environments, Geoff offers a unique, broad perspective on equity and incentive compensation best practices.
Before joining ISP Advisors, Geoff was the Head of Compensation at Lincoln Financial Group. There he led the planning, design and delivery of all Compensation and Performance Management programs for Lincoln’s 8,000+ employees. Prior to Lincoln, Geoff was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Human Resource Solutions (GHRS) Total Rewards consulting practice where he assisted some of the world’s top public companies in extending their stock option, restricted stock and ESPP programs to employees in over 100 countries. Geoff also spent considerable time addressing domestic executive compensation strategy, administration and taxation (Code Sections 83, 162(m), 280G and 409A).
Geoff is a frequent speaker and author on the subject of global equity-based compensation strategies, including presentations for national vendor conferences, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) and the Global Equity Organization (GEO).
